Diving at Portpean

We had the most amazing dive on Sunday just gone, we started off thinking about diving at Portgaverne near Port Isaac but after driving there we decided the viz was going to be shocking, we then thought about the South Coast and decided upon Portpean near St.Austell, the long walk from the carpark is a bit of a nightmare up and back but the dive was worth the effort, lots of small life with spider crab and even a pygmy cuttlefish and a nice greater pipe at the end.
To be honest I was blown away by the kelp forest we found at 4m, its amazing to think that we have these amazing places in Cornwall, we will definitely be diving here again and we look forward to bringing others with us, it might be an amazing place for a night dive some time, think we will be doing a club dive here before to long

Weeks diving

We had a fantastic dive yesterday at Towan Headland #Newquay, the visibility was somewhere in the region of 10-12 meters and the water was 14.5°c, yes it's starting to warm up,  lots of pollock, wrasse and spider crabs around, we have a huge amount of sea hares in the bay as well so I'm hoping that will mean a warm summer, I've not seen sea hares for a few years now.
We love the headland and the two small rocks just off the entry point are filled with an abundance of multi coloured anemones, all colours and all sizes, there are also sea squirts there as well.
Why not come for a dive with us soon and let us show you how amazing the Cornish waters can be
